“Oh No, another Shitty Comp” V/A Punk N Junk Records, an offset of the distro and Cabana One Records has a neat little comp out and I’m here to tell ya bout it. ‘Oh No’ is fun and the bands are somewhat off the wall or the beaten path. Not your typical Pop here, but a few nuggets are there. Most, to me are unknown and of the harder side of the Punk spectrum. But none of that ‘Punk by numbers’ stuff (thanks PRR for the permission) this disc is an eye opener to us who aren’t familure with the harder stuff. The songs are not the best produced but the pairings are pretty cool. 16 songs of beer swilled, fuck off and die punk rock. Bands that don’t rely on rules but having a good time and making the music they want to make. The gems are Dangerous Dave (QUEERS), Homeless Sexuals, Fuck Lordz and The Postals. It feels good to be a punk again and listening to this comp let me do just that. Unorganized chaos and broken bottles this one is a keeper.
