The Vigilantes
Swedish street punk ala Clash/Op Ivy sing alongs. Extremely well played and well written songs that beckon back to a day of Unity and Revolution. The roots of the “movement” were in these theories and the Vigilantes prove they have stayed the course. The band believes in this music and that’s just as important as how cool you look. The lyrics inspire me in a way all the crazy ideas I got when I was a kid did. Nervous, dazed with the need to tell somebody about it. Most of the tunes are love songs in one form or fashion or songs about believing in yourself despite the world. They are good enough to not end up sounding like their influences but we can all tell where they come from. Talented musicians with lots of range in the vocals department this band is one to look out for. But, since they are from Sweden it may be a while until I get to buy the boys a pint. Check em out and show some love.
Ahoy!
