Anti Social Degenerates was founded by Vern Obnoxious in 1987. The bands original line up had Vern - vox/words, Jerry Wolny - guitar/words, D. Bing - bass/words and Steve Kearns - drums. Steve and Vern were just 14, Jerry was 15 and D. Bing was the only one with a driver's liscence just turning 16. We played a bazillion miles an hr. with songs never exceeding 90 minutes of ferocious MCHC! We shredded the border between 80's american hardcore and 80's UK anarcho punk. To poor to record in a studio or print that precious vinyl, so we started recording demo's on cassettes off jam boxes and 4-tracks. Anti Social Degenerates have been firmly planted in the DIY punk rock methodology since then. Putting out 5 full length cassette's from 1987 to 1991. The band has always been politicaly charged. There anti-establishment political platform developed during the Reagan administration and thrashed into the dark ages of hardcore punk until 1991. It was obvious Detroit moved on to the commercialization era of punk rock with the rest of the world. The next 15 years were spent in numerous Detroit punk bands. Anti Social Degenerates re-launched it's original line up to play with NYHC legends Murphy's Law in 2006. Now evolved with age, talent and the impact of politics that directly effect our domestic living situation. ASD is a voice of the 99%. A Pro-active DIY collective striving to unite an underground and create a voice for the community. Ready and willing to confront this facade played on the American people to get out of there confort zones and scream "NO MORE!". ASD is Harder, heavier, faster and louder then ever. Anti Social Degenerates evolutionized anarcho - anti establishment, anti-fascist political stance is uncomprimising. Anti Social Degenerates = Equality.
