Band Bio

Punk Rock n Roll band from the North West coast of UK. Drummer RatFink was with Goth Legends ALIEN SEX FIEND for 7 years before forming Uncle Fester and now kicking ass with UFX. Ratty also wrote a book about his life on and off the road with the Fiends. 'ONCE UPON A FIEND' available from Amazon and HMV.

Dunk and Ratfink met as actors in Blackpool's interactive horror show - Pasaje Del Terror. Dunk had played in a number of punk bands such as the Headhunters, Shining Sons and Pink Torpedoes. They talked about forming a band together but nothing came of it at the time. Then, when Rat and guitarist Johnny Volume (a veteran of Blackpool's Stooges-influenced Dogfood) decided to form a band together to play trashy rock and roll, the obvious person to ask to join as vocalist was Dunk. One phone call later and with the addition of bassist Doc Virus, the first line-up of Uncle Fester was established. Rat, Dunk and Johnny's common love for 60s and 70s garage rock and punk - bands like MC5, The Stooges, Heartbreakers, Motorhead, Radio Birdman & Sex Pistols, and 80s/90s outfits like Supersuckers, Rocket From the Crypt, Backyard Babies and Hellacopters - eventually alienated Doc who wasn't really a fan, so long serving Dogfood bassist - Chad Spandosa - was brought in as his replacement in July 2000.

After the release of 2 self-financed albums:

"Frump Experiments" (sold to friends only)

Death of Rock and Roll, Maze, Idiot, Slack, Bodybag, Down, Bottle, Claws, Gasoline

"Total Sonic Mayhem"

and the "Offensive" EP
